Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 April 2026

1. What Implera is

Implera is a codebase quality intelligence platform. You connect a GitHub repository and receive quality scores, findings and insights across seven domains: security, testing, architecture, maintainability, performance, dependencies and accessibility.

Implera is read-only. It never modifies your code, creates pull requests or takes actions on your behalf.

2. Account and authentication

You sign in with your GitHub account via OAuth. Implera does not store passwords. Your authentication session is managed by Supabase and stored in secure HTTP cookies.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account. If you believe your account has been compromised, revoke the Implera GitHub App installation from your GitHub settings immediately.

3. GitHub App permissions

The Implera GitHub App requests read-only access to your repositories. This includes reading repository metadata, file trees, file contents, branches and commit history. Implera also creates GitHub Check Runs on pull requests and posts PR comments with analysis summaries when quality gates are enabled.

You can revoke access at any time from your GitHub App installations settings.

4. How your code is handled

During analysis, Implera fetches file contents from GitHub via the API. Files are processed in memory and are not stored in the Implera database. Only scores, findings, metrics and metadata are persisted.

When AI-assisted reviews are triggered, a selection of files (typically 10 to 15 per domain) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. Anthropic processes these requests under their standard API terms. Implera stores the resulting findings and scores, not the file contents.

5. Plans and billing

Implera offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. The free tier includes 10 analyses per month and 2 projects. The Pro tier provides unlimited analyses and projects.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Implera never sees or stores your card details. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. On cancellation, your plan reverts to the free tier at the end of the current billing period. Your analysis history is preserved.

6. API keys

You can generate API keys for CI/CD integration. Keys are shown once on creation and stored only as SHA-256 hashes. Implera cannot recover a lost key. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. You can generate up to 10 keys per account.

7. Acceptable use

You may use Implera to analyse repositories you own or have permission to access. You must not use the service to analyse repositories without authorisation, attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring algorithms, or use the API in a way that degrades the service for other users.

8. Availability and liability

Implera is provided "as is" without warranty. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Implera's analysis is informational and should not be treated as a definitive security audit or compliance certification.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Implera's liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. On deletion, all projects, analysis results, AI reviews, API keys and finding dismissals are permanently removed. Stripe records are retained as required by payment regulations.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your GitHub account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
